  • can get thrush if you dont rinse mouth and inhaler
  • 2 puffs wait 30secs to one min in btw
  • if they cant indicate then no administering
  • every four hours
  • asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis
  • enlarges constricted breathing tubes
  • side effects: increased heart rate, jitters
  • chamber holds puff waiting to be inhaled for kids

nitroglycerin

  • after 5 mins if no change give more
  • tablets or spray (sublingual)
  • history of chest pain/cardiac
  • helps dilate coronary vessels
  • contraindications: low blood pressure or taking meds for erectile dysfunction
  • systolic above 120 give it
  • side effects: drop in bp and headaches
