head on collisions-up and over or down and under, airbag burns, take picture rear end t-bone roll over rotational impact
falls
adult-more than 20 ft
children under 15- more than 10 ft or 2/3 times childs height
fences or bushes only remove impaled objects from cheek theu mouth
height, surface, first body part to hit ground, anything interrupted fall
penetrating trauma
velocity of item
low velocity: knife, damage limited to an area penetrated, may be multiple wounds
medium velocity: handgun/shotgun and high velocity: rifle injuries, anywhere in body, damage directly from projectile, pressure related damage ir cavitation,
always work patients until you have dnr in hand
blunt force traume
cause by blow that doesnt break skin
signs are subtle snd often overlooked
maintain index of suspicion based on moi

cab if pt appears lifeless

every 5 mins trauma
every 10-15 mins other
