What records must be kept in the CD register for receiving Schedule 2 drugs?
For Controlled Drugs received, the following must be recorded:
Date supply received
Name and address from whom received
Quantity received.

What are the requirements of a signed order from a school?
In line with legislation requirements, the order
must be signed by the principal or head teacher
at the school concerned and state:
* The name of the school for which the
medicinal product is required
* The purpose for which that product is
required
* The total quantity required
Ideally, appropriately headed paper should be
used; however, this is not a legislative
requirement.
An entry in the POM register must include the:
Date the POM was supplied
Name, quantity and, where it is not apparent, formulation and strength of the POM supplied
Name and address, trade, business or profession of the person to whom the medicine was supplied
Purpose for which it was sold or supplied.

YES
Key Requirements for Private Prescriptions:
βοΈ Must be legible and indelible (e.g., handwritten in ink or printed).

βοΈ Patient details (full name, address, DOB if under 12).
βοΈ Medicine details (name, form, strength, dose, and quantity).
βοΈ Date of issue (valid for 6 months, except CDs).

Controlled Drugs (CDs) β Extra Rules
Schedule 2 & 3 CDs (e.g., morphine, tramadol) require an FP10PCD form in England.
Schedule 4 & 5 CDs can be prescribed on any standard private prescription (A4 is fine).

Controlled Drugs (CDs): Must follow Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001
PMR: Protect confidentiality and comply with data protection laws
Deliveries: SOPs must manage undelivered items, especially CDs
Cleaning: Control access if done out of hours or by contractors
Enquiries: Non-clinical only β staff must work within competence
Can General Sale List (GSL) medicines be sold in a pharmacy if the Responsible Pharmacist (RP) is not physically present?
β Yes β GSL medicines can be sold if the RP is:
Signed in and
Temporarily absent (up to 2 hours in a 24-hour period),
Still in charge of the pharmacy (i.e. contactable and able to return promptly).
