• personal or family history of malignant hyperthermia
• known renal impairment
• Had within the last week

• Age 75 or older, particularly if frail
• pre-eclampsia
• administered in a confined space
• Acute exacerbation of chronic pain

Adult 12 years or older: max 6ml (2 doses)
Child less than 12 years: max 3ml (1 dose)
