What is important about matching the username in Blend (New User) with the username in Encompass (or other LOS)?

A

If usernames (email) don’t match, LO may not be assigned to the loan in Encompass or may not be able to export (post-sub) loan from Encompass to Blend.

What is the purpose of the banners in Admin -> Configuration -> Support?

A

We (or the lender) can create warning banners that display on the screen (for example “Applications are not properly exporting to Encompass”) or can also display banners in borrower portal.

If somebody can’t export a loan, what is the proper way to solve?

A

Don’t just tell them to press the “Export” button. There are things to check behind the scenes. For example:
There is a role permission required to export loans -> VIEW -> “Export loans” do they have this permission? If not, are they supposed to have it for their role (probably best for them to check with their admin on that.)
TRID may be suppressed so loan isn’t auto-triggering. (“Your settings” -> Admin -> Configuration -> Compliance)
What LOS are they using? (“Your settings” -> Admin -> Configuration -> Integrations)

Steps to manually export loan into Encompass?

A

“Download application package”
Grab the MISMO file out of the zip file
Send the MISMO file over to the Windows jump box via send.blend.com
Retrieve the file from the Win box (use Chrome to go to retrieval URL from send.blend.com and then enter passphrase). Save file (it will store it in downloads under user).
Then from within Encompass, click on “Pipeline” drop-down, then “Import”
Select type of Import file (MISMO or FNMA)
Choose the radio button to ‘Not assign Loan Officer’ or can choose to ‘Assign to LO’ and then choose officer
Then navigate to downloaded folder ( C:\Users\lance-julander\Downloads\MISMO_last_name)
Select the template type (like “Conventional” template)
“[Import]” loan

How start loan in Encompass and push over to Blend?

A

In Encompass, start new loan, fill in fields and then do “Services” -> “Additional Services” -> “Blend”, but choose the radio button “Start a post-submission loan in Blend” *Note: When you click “Invite borrower” in Blend, it will only invite borrower to submit follow-up info since Encompass is “Source of truth” and borrower info is already in Encompass.

A

How troubleshoot lender MFA issues?

A

MFA setting is found in Admin -> Configuration - > Security (Lender 2-Factor Auth Mode)

1) Reset their MFA (Admin -> Users -> (select user) -> Click “Reset MFA” button at top.

When user logs in, they will be prompted to re-enter their phone number (can select to be contacted by SMS or voice to cell or voice by landline)

Should try all 3 above before proceeding below.

2) Check to see if it’s a reception issue. (can they get calls/txts from other numbers?)
3) Are they using Authy or 3rd party authentication acct?
4) Check for Twilio outage.
5) Check with their phone provider to see if messages are blocked
6) If all else fails, ask them to use a friend or family’s phone number
