antiepileptic drug used to treat seizures.
MOA of phenytoin?
blocks voltage gated NA channels
In fetus: wide spaced eyes, cleft palate, hypplastic nails, limb defects, developmental delays
Fetal Hydantoin syndrome from mom taking phenytoin for seizures. dont give in pregnancy
