Person whose life and every action is aimed to improving welfare of others/society
Two types of moral saint
Loving saint and rational saint
Loving saint
acts out of genuine love for others is male happiness by helping others
Rational saint
Acts out of a sense of duty; sacrificing their happiness to help others
Main problems with moral sainthood
Time: no time to cultivate non-moral interests
Virtues: moral virtues dominate the life of a moral saint which are incompatible with some nonmoral virtues
