Conditions of the foots

A

plantar fasciitis: overuse of fascia resulting in pain at calcaneal

Morton’s neuroma: thickening of fibrous tissue causing nerve entrapment, usually 3rd and 4th toe

turf toe: sprain of 1st MTP due to hyperextesion and compression

A

activity modification
soft tissue mobilization (plantar fascia, calf)
stretching (plantar fascia, calf)
strengthening (intrinsic foot muscles)
taping
orthotics
night splints/ Strassburg sock
cyrotherapy

medical management- corticosteroid injections, NSAIDs, plantar fasciotomy
