Clinical diagnosis of fibromyalgia:
hx of widespread musculoskeletal pain (bilateral, above and below the waist, present for at least 3 months)
Cognitive (memory or thought) problems
Possible fibromyalgia etiology:
"central sensitization" neurotransmitter
chronic fatigue syndrome
TPI (trigger point injections)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms:
severe fatigue > 6 months
Post-exertional malaise lasting > 24 hrs
Tender lymph nodes
substantial short term memory or concentration impairment
