Common Nouns
Common Nouns are never capitalized. They name something general, not specific.
EX: flowers, books, food, school
Proper Nouns
Proper Nouns are always capitalized. They name something specific- like the name of place, a brand, or a person.
EX: BLMS, Roses, Cookies, Target
Abstract Nouns
A noun you can not see, hear, smell, taste, or touch.
EX: hunger, feelings, honor, skill
Concrete Nouns
Concrete Nouns describe things that can be seen or touched.
EX: cat, plants, pencil, cup
General Nouns
General Nouns are nouns that describe a something general.
EX: chips (general)
dog (Australlian shepherd)
Compound Nouns
Compound Nouns are nouns that are made up of more than one word. This typically makes them more descriptive.
EX: grocery store, shopping cart, teacher desk
