- Severe toxaemia (pre-eclampsia)
- Previous hypersensitvity
- Exclude multiple pregency
- Cord prolapse

A
If given IV may cause transient Hypotension
Concurrent use with Methoxyflurane may cause hypotension

Uncommon via IM injection route
- tachycardia/bradycardia
- nausea
