- used as initial treatment or for thoes who recieved treatment before

What are the AE of ethambutol?
-vision problems and GI
How can resistance of TB be prevented?
initial therapy should consist of at least 2 but preferably 4 medications
How long can the therapy for TB last?
6 months to 2 years
How can patient adherence to med therapy for TB be greatly increased?
DOT therapy combined with intermittent rather than daily dosing
