5. Joint capsule of glenohumeral ligaments

19

What is this triangle called?

Clavipectoral triangle

20

Name the muscle, origin, insertion, innervation, and action.

Pectoralis minor. Originates on ribs 3 to 5, inserts on the coracoid process. Innervated by medial pectoral nerve of the brachial plexus. Stabilizes the scapula and pulls it forward against posterior surface of the thorax.

21

Name the vein and the groove in which it is contained in the shoulder.

Cephalic vein, contained in the deltopectoral groove.

22

Name the muscle, origin, insertion, innervation, and action.

Pectoralis major. The superior part of the muscle that originates at the clavicular head acts to flex the extended humerus. The inferior part of the muscle that originates at the sternocostal head acts to extend the flexed humerus. The insertion is at the lateral lip of the intertubercular groove. Innervation by the medial and lateral pectoral nerves of the brachial plexus.

23

Name the muscle, origin, insertion, innervation, and action.

Subclavius muscle. Originates on the junction of the rib and first costal cartilage and inserts on the inferior surface of the middle third of the clavicle. Supplied by the nerve to subclavius (from C5). Acts to anchor and depress the clavicle.

24

Name the muscle, origin, insertion, innervation, and action.

Serratus anterior. Originates on ribs 1-9, inserts on anterior medial edge of the scapula. Innervated by the long thoracic nerve of the brachial plexus. Acts to protract the scapula and can help rotate it superiorly.

25

Name the artery and the artery that it arose from.

Axillary artery, arose from the subclavian artery.

26

Name the artery and the artery that it arose from.

Lateral thoracic artery, a branch that arose from the 2nd segment of the axillary artery.

27

Name the artery and the artery that it arose from.

Subscapular artery, arose from the 3rd segment of the axillary artery.

28

Name the artery and the artery that it arose from.

Anterior circumflex humeral artery, arose from the 3rd segment of the axillary artery.

29
