Pressure regulation:

- anus, vagina, urethra
Childbirth:
- forms a “gutter” -> foetal head
Identify the Muscles of the Pelvic Floor
Fascia of the Pelvic Floor:
pubocervical fascia (bladder/vag)
rectovaginal/rectovescial
uterosacral (suspends and supp uterus + cervix)
structure:
- loose CT, adipose tissue, smooth muscle
function:
- conduit for vessels/nerves
- helps maintain organ position

1. urogenital triangle (A): perineal body, ischiocav, bulbospong, transverse peroneal
2. anal triangle (P): coccyx, isch tub, ST lig
