What are the connections of the sacrum ligaments?
Sacroiliac
Sacrospinous - from ischial spine
Sacrotuberous - ischial tuberosity
Iliolumbar - transverse process l5 to posterior iliac crest

What are the differences between male and female pelvis?
Muscle attachment more prominent in males
Pelvic inlet heart shaped male and oval in female.
Angle between inferior pubic rami narrow in male and wide in female.
What are the branches of the internal iliac artery?
Anterior:
Umbilical
Obturator
Inferior vesical
Middle rectal
Inferior gluteal
Internal pudenda
Posterior:
Iliolumbar
Lateral sacral
Superior gluteal
What are the branches of the external iliac artery?
Inferior epigastric
Deep circumflex iliac
Describe the zonal anatomy of the prostate.
Peripheral - 70 percent glandular.
Central - 25 percent glandular.
Transition - 5 percent glandular.
What are the ligaments that support the uterus?
Pubocervical - cervix to pubic bone
Transverse cervical - cervix and vagina to pelvic side wall
Uterosacral - posterosuperiorly to midsacrum on upper surface of levator ani.
Round ligament - upper lateral uterus to inguinal canal
