Located and includes everything above ground, the shoot system has the function of reproduction and photosynthesis
Some parts of the shoot system include leaves, stems, buds, flowers and fruits

Gas exchange
Photosynthesis
Reproduction
What is the root system and its function and where is it located
Function is to obtain nutrients and water, it is located underground. It also anchors the plant
This is where plants store their extra food (sugar)
What is the root system involved in
The root system is involved in water and mineral uptake from the soil
What is plant growth and where does it occur?
Plant growth is where cells act like building blocks and build up on each other
This occurs at the tips of leaves in the meristem region
What is plant growth a result of?
It’s a result of mitosis
