Prepositions Flashcards

Q

What are prepositions?

A

They go before nouns, noun phrases and pronouns normally to indicate where a person or object is and to link them to the other parts of the sentence. Some can be one word such as de, con, por, or made up of more than one word: al lado de, junto a
If a verb follows a preposition it must be in the infinitive form e.g. después de hablar, antes de ver
