Under what regulation can POMs only be supplied by prescription?
Human Medicines Regulations 2012.
Who is considered an appropriate prescriber?
Doctors, dentists, nurse prescribers, pharmacist prescribers, optometrists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, and radiographers.
What is the role of an independent prescriber?
Can prescribe any licensed POM within their area of competence (some restrictions on controlled drugs apply).
