Q

What replaced prohibition?

A

Prohibition created more problems than it solved, and the government wanted a “piece of the action” that was to be made on the selling of alcohol. So they started taxing alcohol instead of outright banning it, founding the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario).
