copyright, trademark and patents
what does copyright mean?
Copyright protects your work and stops others from using it without your permission.
what is trademark?
You can register your trade mark to protect your brand, for example the name of your product or service.
what happens when you register your trademark?
you’ll be able to take legal action against anyone who uses your brand without your permission, put the ® symbol next to your brand - to show that it’s yours and warn others against using it
what is a patent?
a legal right that protects an inventor’s idea, giving them exclusive control over how it’s made, used, or sold for a limited time.
