You stated you have significant experience reviewing, negotiating and agreeing valuation of construction works – can you give an example?

A

Under the NEC3 Option C – R-R Inters framework, I negotiated the cost implications of a compensation event which had (what I considered) as duplicated activities, when valuing the works, I concluded that the contractor had (beefed up) their allowances, and negotiated this down.

What advise was given on the NTU Maudslay retro fit – cost options appraisal

A

I advised on the cost implications of each option, based on the cost implications, a new roof was most viable. (a few hundred thousands more than the other options, cleaner option)

What advise was given on the NTU Bonington Façade – cost options appraisal

A

I advised on the cost implications of refurbishing the existing roof with new roof coverings, or constructing a new flat roof. Based on the cost implications, the client decided to retain the existing roof and replace the coverings/sky lights.
