• Males: Sperm is produced in the testes through meiosis.
• Females: Ova are produced in the ovaries during oogenesis, also through meiosis.
What are the stages of prenatal development?
• Trimester 1: Organogenesis and formation of the fetus.
• Trimester 2: Rapid growth and organ development.
• Trimester 3: Final growth and preparation for birth.
What are the stages of labor?
- Dilation: Cervix opens.
- Expulsion: Baby is delivered.
- Placental stage: Placenta is expelled.
What is endometriosis?
A condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and infertility.
