RTT Phase I: Investigate Flashcards
(7 cards)
What are four different types of open questions you can ask during the Intake?
Probing, clarifying, encouraging, linking.
What are ear prick-up moments?
When a client says something that piques your interest, either because what the client says is unusual or out of place or is saying the same word/phrase/pattern/theme repeatedly.
What are trigger words?
The negative or positive words the client uses to express their feelings, e.g. hurt, confident, resilient, out of control, small, stuck, surrounded by a black cloud, etc.
What if a client in a scene goes back to a past life?
i) Post-intergenerational stress disorder where you inherit your ancestor’s fears, ii) You’ve read history books and they fascinated you and it’s now wired into you, iii) it’s real
What do you do if no scenes come up?
1) Ask about the feeling/experience
2) Do Child in the Room. Say “That’s okay. That’s so common. It happens all the time. Your mind is getting used to the technique and the process and feeling safe; but this time, as I count back, we’re now going to do something called ‘Child in the Room’ which you will love, and it’s so easy.”
3) Do R.F.P.I.
What do you do when a client really cries during the session?
Say: “Let go” – the most important words to say.
Ask them “When did you last cry and where do you think all that pain is?”
Remember the expression “A feeling that cannot find its expression in tears will cause other organs to weep.” AND “Where tears flow, energy goes and healing begins.” AND “You must feel the feeling until it no longer requires to be felt”.
What is an imprint?
An imprint is when you have a painful event/experience in early childhood that carries on into adulthood and which our subconscious mind has formed negative/limiting beliefs that are holding us back. When you have a scared child and an authority figure that copes badly, it forms an imprint.
