- 8.8.1.2 Take-off Conditions
- PIC shall ensure that according to available information, the weather at the airport and condition of the runway is safe for take off
VFR Weather Minimums
Cloud Ceiling 1,500 ft. AGL
Visibility 5 km.
8.4.1.4 Altimeter Setting
- Flight crew shall use altimeter setting provided by the air traffic service within which the operation is conducted.
VFR Minimum Clearance Altitude
Sparsely Populated Areas - 500 ft. Above Ground Level (AGL)
Densely Populated Areas - 1000 ft. Above the highest obstacle & 600 m. Away
Over Water - No minimum altitude, * 500 ft. Away from any person vehicle or structure.
★ Anywhere :
* if a power unit fails, An Altitude allowing the continuation of flight / emergency landing without causing undue hazard to persons or property on the surface.
VFR Visibility in Flight
Below 10000ft - 5km
Above 10000ft - 8 km
VFR Cloud Clearance in Flight
1000ft above and below
1.5 km front and back
8.8.3.4 VFR Cruising Altitudes
- Half Moon Principle
- Starting 3,000 ft AGL.
Heading 0-179 - odd 1000 plus 500
Heading 180-359 - even 1000 plus 500

Both aircrafts should veer right
Aircraft converging, which has the right of way?
Right side, the aircraft on the left should give way
Aircraft overtaking the aircraft in front, who has the right of way?
The aircraft in front. but the traffic behind can overtake it safelight to the right.
Right of way rules when landing
An aircraft in flight, or on the ground
shall give way to aircraft in the final
stages of flight.
Aircraft at a higher altitude shall give
priority to aircraft at the lower altitude.
