Q

Wideband Delphi is a group-based method used to estimate User Stories consisting of determining how much work is involved and how long it will take to complete. Describe this method of estimation.

A

Individuals within the team anonymously provide estimations for each item and the initial estimates are plotted on the chart, the team then discusses the factors that influenced their estimates. The team then proceeds to the second round of estimation and the process is repeated until the estimates of individuals are close each to other and the consensus for the final estimate can be reached.

Q

Fist of five is another User Stories estimation method Describe this method of estimation.

A

After an initial discussion on a given item for estimation, the scrum team members are each asked to vote on a scale of 1 to 5 using their fingers.

One of the advantages of this technique is to drive discussion because team members are asked to explain the reason for their estimates.

Q

Affinity estimation is a User Stories estimation method used to quickly estimate a large number of User Stories. Describe this method of estimation.

A

Using sticky notes or index cards, the team places the User Stories on a wall or other surface, in order from small to large. The team then review all the placement and may move the User Story around as appropriate. The second phase of the process is the discussion and finally, the Product owner will indicate some sizing categories (small, medium, or large) on the wall. The team will then move the User Stories into these categories as the final step in the process.

some key benefits of this approach are:
- very transparent
- visible to everyone
- easy to conduct

A

A Scrum board is used to track the work and activities being carried out and the issues and problems being faced by the Scrum team could be updated in the impediment log.

17
Q

What does the Review and Retrospective phase of the Scrum process involve?

The Review and Retrospective phase is concerned with reviewing the deliverables and the work that has been done and determining a way to improve the practices and methods used.

18
Q

What are the processes involved in the Review and Retrospective Scrum phase?

A
  • Demonstrate and Validate Sprint:
The Scrum team demonstrates the Spring Deliverables to the Product owner and relevant stakeholders in a Spring Review Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to secure approval and acceptance of the product or service by the Product Owner.
  • Retrospect Spring:
The Scrum Master and the Scrum Team meet to discuss the lessons learned throughout the Spring. This information is documented as lessons learned which can be applied to future springs
19
Q

What are the processes involved in the Release Scrum phase?

A
  • Delivering the accepted deliverables
  • Identifying, documenting, and internalizing the lessons learned.
