Advantages of official statistics
A
They are relatively cheap covering many aspects of life, allow sociologists to do ‘before and after’ meaning it could be compared from old and new stats, combines primary and secondary data

A
Sociologists cannot check the validity of official statistics, they are secondary data and are not primary
