plot
a life of a farmer who merely wanted to farm the property he had to sell the captain (Kabesang Tano) because his wife was unwell. He continually displays that he is still capable of farming despite his age in his day-to-day activities.

summary
The story Tata Selo is about an old man who only wanted to be able to farm on their land that was sold because his wife got sick. Tata Selo wanted their land to be returned to them but due to the lack of money, it was not returned to them so he just begged Kabesa Tano to farm his land. One day, while Tata Selo was farming, Kabesa Tano told him to leave the land he was farming because someone else was the farmer. Tata Selo begged but Kabesa Tano did not listen to him so Tata Selo was able to eat Kabesa Tano which killed him. So Tata Selo was imprisoned.
The story starts in Istaked where people are confusing Tata Selo because he killed the Kabesang Tano who owns the land that Tata Selo is farming, which according to him belonged to him before but he mortgaged it and embargoed.
Tata Selo cut down and killed the Kabesa for reason that he was kicked out of his farmland but Tata Selo refused and insisted that he was still strong and could still farm, but the Kabesa stabbed him in the forehead Tata Selo explained to the young son of the richest proprietor, to the Mayor and even to the Chief who brutalized him within staked all Kabesa’s acquaintances.
Two days later, his son Saling, who used to live and served in Kabesa, came to visit, but he returned home because he fell ill two days before the incident. Tata Selo felt pity when he thought of sending Saling home because there was nothing they could do. , Saling was called by the Mayor to his office and he went there and did not listen to his father, the boy came to visit him again and was ordered to go to the mayor’s office but he was not allowed to enter the boy’s statement, Tata Selo did not pay attention to it and he just said that “everything was stolen from him”
lesson
“AS LONG AS THERE IS POWER, THE POOR WILL ALWAYS STRUGGLE” I have thought of this, because of the scene where tata Selo is being tormented or being hurted by a person who trusts the killed Kabesa.

marginalized, incompetent, and feeble community is represented by Tata Selo, they are the ones who plays the role of incompetent and weak who has no power to defend themselves against prominent individuals. The oppressive politicians of the country are personified by the “captain” (Kabeasang Tano.
