Q

Uterus Function

A

nurturing environment for the development of a fetus during pregnancy.
fertilized egg implants and grows, supported by the uterine lining (endometrium).
In the absence of pregnancy, the uterine lining thickens monthly in preparation for potential fertilization, and if fertilization doesn’t occur, it sheds during menstruation.
The uterus also plays a role in labor and childbirth by contracting to push the baby out.
