What are Plasmid?
Circular loop of DNA can be shared between prokaryotes(asexual reproduction)but are not always present
What is cell membrane made of in both cells euk and prok?
50% protein and 50% lipids
What are mesosomes?
Folded portion of inner membrane
Function:helps the synthesis of cell membrane to increase its surface area,replication of DNA,and protein synthesis.

What is the cell wall in prok made out of?
Peptidoglycan
To identify 2 kind of cell wall
(Gram stain)
Gram+=think wall and stain is purple
Gram-= thin wall with outer lipid layer and stain is pink
What is a flagellum?
It is shaped into a helical shape tail help for cells movement.
What is DNA(nucleoid)?
Is where generic information are stored but in prok. They are lose in cytoplasm and euk they are condesend in nucleus
How do bacteria reproduce?
By binary fission where cell divides into 2 identical daughter cells and it is an asexual process so no genes are exchange,can divide every 20 minutes
What is a capsule and what is it made out of and its function?
It is additional layer of carbohydrates made out of polysaccharide covering cell wall.
Function:prevents cell from desiccation and drying.
And protect it from phagocytosis (engulfing) by larger molecules by sticking cells together
What are pili?
Pili - Hair-like structures which attach to other bacterial cells.
