How is accuracy determined, how would you check this in the ground?

A

Comparing measurements taken from a scale map to the real life measurements on the ground. Using a measuring wheel or lazer measure. These can be checked by using triangulation from a fixed points

Q

How did you prepare LR Plan for Land Transfer, land to be retained and sale of pasture land?

A

I obtained a scale plan from promap showing the land which had to be registered. Plotted the redline boundary for the various maps. For the land retained I showed a right of way along the driveway shaded in light red.

Q

What are the features/advantages of promap?

A

OS Mapping
Can generate scale maps
Can customise maps with scale annotations & txt
Title Fill - recognises LR titles and transfers them to the plan
Aerial photography
Provides access to up to date, accurate & fully licensed data.
Take measurements from maps.

17
Q

What feautres were required on the map?

A

North point
Scale Bar

18
Q

Dry Storage Shed Planning application what was required on the location plan?

A

The plan showed the redline development boundary, the position of the dry storage shed, location of the indicative soakaway, access to the highway.

19
Q

How did you measure the site boundary?

A

The development site boundary was measured using a measuring wheel taken from the fixed point using the shed measurements.

20
Q

How did you establish a fixed point?

A

I used the corner of an existing building as this point was unlikely to change.

21
Q

How did you annotate the plan?

A

I annotated the plan using promap.

The building was shown as a solid red rectangle

Access to the highway was shown by marking the existing access from the highway through the farmyard with a redline polygon with red hatching

circle with red hatching to show indicative soakaway and arrows to show direction of the flow

Blue line to show land owner by the applicant

The plan showed a north point, scale bar and title block.
