ADH
is produced by the hypothalamus and stored in the posterior pituitary gland. ADH is secreted when there is an ECF volume deficit or an increased osmolality. ADH promotes water reabsorption from the distal tubules of the kidneys
Aldosterone
is secreted from the adrenal cortex. It promotes sodium, chloride and water reabsorption from the renal tubules
Renin
Decreased renal blood flow increases the release of renin, an enzyme, from the juxtaglomerular cells of the kidneys. Renin promotes peripheral vasoconstriction and the release of aldosterone (sodium and water retention)
