A
Knocks off electrons from the specimen which are gathered on a cathode ray tube to form an image
Forms a 3D image
Beam of electrons - still in a vacuum
Can produce a coloured image

What does the TEM do
A
Specimen is incredibly thin
Focuses a beam of electrons which is then transmitted through the specimen.
Denser parts of the specimen absorb more electrons and appear darker
Ooo you can see the internal structure of the organelle
