Q
What does the top vector indicate?
A
Moving left to right
2
Q
What does the bottom vector indicate?
A
Moving up/down
3
Q
What do you need to include when describing ROTATIONS?
A
-Rotation
-Direction
-Centre of rotation
4
Q
How do you work out rotations without tracing paper?
A
- Draw a line from one vertex of the shape to the centre of rotation
- Move that vertex around the centre
- If you can figure out the shape from that, work the rest out. If not, repeat for as many vertices as necessary
5
Q
What do you need to include when describing enlargement?
A
-Enlargement
-Scale factor
-Centre of enlargement
6
Q
How do you work out enlargement?
A
- Find the vector from the centre of enlargement to each vertex.
- Multiply each one by the scale factor
7
Q
How do you know if two shapes are mathematically similar?
A
Their height and width can be multiplied by the same ratio
