Q

Short story Jc question conclusion

A

Seting plays a crucial role in shaping Mr White’s actions as warmth from home crates false confidence allowing him to make the first wish without fear. The isolation of their home then traps the family in their grief and pushes Mr White towards making reckless and desperate choices that no one can prevent. Finally, the contrast between the safe home setting v’s the exotic origins of The Monkeys Paw encourages curosity and binds him to the danger. The story makes it clear that the is not just a backdrop but a driving force in every tragic decision Mr White makes.
