Deaf vs Hard of Hearing
Deaf, can be the level of hearing loss or someone who identifies with Deaf culture. If someone is deaf they likely use ASL to communicate or have higher levels of hearing loss.
Hard of hearing, is used for those with mild to severe hearing loss but who still use speech for communication.
