what is the parasympathetic and sympathetic supply to the glands?

A

parasympathetic: cranial nerve (7) and glossopharyngeal nerve (9) - creates lots of watery secretions

sympathetic: small volume and thick secretions, A-1 receptors make high mucus content and B-2 make high amylase
