R: reliability-is it repeatable? was it repeated?
A: application-does it provide evidence? in life?
V: validity-any external distractions? representative?
E: ethics- was this consensual? how did researchers address this?
M: mundane realism- is this applicable to everyday life? artificial task? how was this studied.

Evaluating Theories - acronym
S: supporting evidence - are there any studies that support this theory?
O: opposing evidence - are there any studies that refute this theory?
D: Debates/diff theories - can you use issues and debates to evaluate this theory?
A: application - can the theory be applied to everyone? does it provide importance evidence?

EXAM TIP: don’t focus too much on the method - the findings of the theory are most important!
