Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere enters the chloroplast,
The enzyme rubisco fixes carbon dioxide by attaching it to Ribulose biphosphate (RuBP)
This forms 3-phosphoglycerate (3PG).

The 3PG is phosphorylated (has phosphate added) by ATP and is combined with hydrogen from NADPH to form glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P)

Uses of glucose

A

Synthesised into starch - storage carbohydrate
