  1. Use standard outline nbs. and letters. E.g 1. A. a. a.
  2. Use at least two subpoints, eg. I. A. + B.
  3. Properly indent main ideas, subpoints and supporting material. E.g. I. 1st main idea, A. First subpoint of I., 1. First supporting material for A + 2. Second supporting material for A.

Delivery Outline

A

is meant to give you all you need to present your speech in the way you have planned. It should not be so detailed.

  • Make the outline as brief as possible, and write in single words or short phrases
  • Include the intro. and conclus. in shorten form
  • Include supporting materials and signposts
  • DO NOT include the purpose statement
