What is Q-fever history?

A

1920: thought to be rickettsia 1925: Hideyo Moguchi described the illness but lost all the samples so it could not be confirmed.
1935: Brisbane: Abbetoir called Q-fever 1938: Cox and Burnett name the illness as coxiella burnetti after outbreak in montane-9mile
1940: Outbreak down wind of a farm: aerosolised infection confirmed

2002: Straw wall in building: 95 cases 2007: 30 peoplpe from straw at a farm dance infected
