Q

Did Richard kill his nephews?

A

The King’s contemporaries believe he killed his nephews
Richard III had a strong motive for killing the rightful heirs so this is plausible

Queen Elizabeth must have believed they were dead or she would not have supported placing Henry Tudor on the throne

Buckingham was also a loyal Y and would not have turned to the Tudors and unless he was convinced the princes were dead

Q

What was the aim of the rebellion against R3in 1483?

A

the rebellion against R3 in 1483 was to Edward V on the throne
however it changed plans as they believe the princes were dead

if they were alive R3 would have paraded them around to quell the Rebellion
it was more problematic that they were dead for R3
