Retail and offices need to be accessible to as many people as possible, and so are usually found in City centres due to transport oinks and accessibility.

City centres tend to be heavily built up. The availability of land may effect how land is used.

Due to lack of availability, CBD land is often very expensive. However, larger companies can afford to pay the rent for these.

Planning also affects land use patterns. Planners try to balance uses for land. The cities authority decide how they want a city to look and develop and have plans to show which land uses will be permitted.
How has largos’s site/situation worked to the country’s advantage and allowed for development?
Largos is located in West Africa, in the south of Nigeria. One of the biggest advantages of Lagos is that it has a sheltered port, as well as a well connected system linking it to the airports and especially Port Hardcourt. This makes trade a very reliable and profitable source of income for Lagos.
Describe the location of Largos
Largos is located in west Africa, bordering on the pacific ocean. It is located around a lagoon and has an airport. There is an island for a CBD, and multiples sections to Largos’s mainland including the slums to the west.
