Describe the state of what is happening on the slums of largos’s lagoon?

Answer 1

The largos lagoon is home to the floating slums, where people have built a slum settlement on floating materials and stilts. There is no government regulations or protection for people who choose to live here.

In the lagoon slums, what health issues do dwellers face?

Answer 2

There is many health and safety issues such as disease spreads and infection risks. Out in the lagoon, disease will start to build up where Largo’s sewage etc. has been released into the lagoon as well as the trash from the CBD. This cannot only spreads, but causes diseases as the infections spreads through the water - where the dwellers are living, eating and sleeping.

Name a political threat for people within the slums of Largos?

Answer 3

The government seek to remove the slums of the lagoon to construct floating apartments and high tech housing. Because the government do not recognise slums or protect them in anything regarding land law, they face being kicked out and their slums torn down.
