  • Increase dopamine release
  • Block dopamine reuptake
    • (also antiviral against Flu. A and rubella

TOX:

  • Ataxia
  • Livedo reticularis
    • Blood clots in small cappillaries
    • Lace-like purplish discolouration of skin

  • Increase dopamine release
  • Block dopamine reuptake
  • (also antiviral against Flu. A and rubella

TOX:

  • Ataxia

Mechanism:

  • L-Dopa –[Dopa decarboxylase (CNS)] –> DOpamine

AE:

  • Arrhythmias: dt/ peripheral conversion to catecholamines
  • Dyskinesia following administration (on-off phenomenon)
  • Akinesia between doses
