A

Dual approach:

Improve flow- quick response using alpha1 blockers (tamsulosin, doxazosin)

Shrink the prostate- takes 6 months
5 alpha reductase inhibitors e.g. finasteride, dunasteride

What is the mx of unstable angina?

A

RF- aspirin/clopi and statin

Assess for revascularisation

Can sometimes use occasional sublingual GTN

Beta-blockers or CCB if CI- both CI in LV dysfunction

Add long acting nitrate

Can add dihydropyridine

Consider nicorandil, ivabradine, ranolazine

Constipation- laxatives (movicol), linaclotide

Diarrhoea- loperamide, antispasmodics (mebeverine, hyoscine)

Abdo pain- low dose TCA, SSRIs, peppermint oil capsules
