6
Q

Explain how a new species might evolve in a new environment. (6)

A

There is genetic variation in the population.
A new mutation occurs.
That gives the organism the allele that allows the organisms to survive in the new environment.
Better adapted organisms will be more likely to survive and reproduce.
This increases the frequency of the allele.
No interbreeding.
