A

skin - barrier of pathogens - secrets antimicrobial substances that kill pathogens
hairs and mucus in nose - trap particles that could contain pathogens
trachea and bronchi - secrete mucus to trap pathogens i - lined with cilia, which waft mucus to back of the throat to be swallowed
hydrochloric acid in stomach - kills pathogens that make it through the mouth

white blood cells travel around the body

A

consuming them - engulf foreign cells and digest them - phagocytosis
producing antibodies - lock onto invading cells so they can be destroyed by white blood cells
producing antitoxins - invading bacteria
