Project level role purpose

A

These roles are the directors, managers and coordinators of work. They are part of a board or steering committee and have the authority to direct the project and have governance over the project.

Solution development team roles

A

These roles are the “engine room” of the project - they shape and build the solution and have collective responsibility for it’s day-to-day development and fitness for business purpose. There may be one or more of these teams within a project.

A

A

Most senior project-level business role. The project champion committed to the project, the proposed solution and to developing it.

Business visionary

A

Senior level project business role held by ONE person to stop confusion. More active involvement - interprets needs of business sponsor, communicates them to the team and ensures they are properly represented in the business case.

Remains involved throughout the project and provides strategic direction and ensures the solution will actually give you the business case.

Technical coordinator

A

Prime technical authority ensures the project is technically coherent and meets the desired standards.

Project manager

A

Manages the working environment at a high level - coordinates all aspects of management but leaves more detailed planning and delivery to the SDT.

Takes responsibility of the project throughout it’s duration.

A

A

Acts as the “servant leader” for the SDT and ensures functions as a whole and meets its objectives. Works with the team to plan and coordinate aspects of product delivery at a detailed level.

A
