Location/Function of LT OVRD switch?
On Left Overhead
Overrides flight deck lighting settings and illuminates flood lights, dome lights, and annunciators to max brightness
Location/Function of EMER LIGHTS switch? Meaning of UNARMED light?
On Center Overhead Panel
OFF - Emer lights are off regardless of aircraft power
ARMED - Emer lights will turn on if airplane electrical power fails or is turned off
ON - Emer lights turn on regardless of aircraft power
UNARMED light means switch is OFF or lights have been manually activated
How can Emer Lights be turned on from the cabin?
Use EMERGENCY LIGHTS switch on flight attendant panel. Switch overrides flight deck switch position

2 sliding flight deck windows
Most 752s: 6 entry doors, 4 overwing exits
Some 752s: 6 entry doors, 2 exit doors behind the wings
753: 6 entry doors, 2 exit doors, 4 overwing exits

Some 767s: 6 entry doors, 2 overwing exits
Flight deck indications for doors?
ENTRY DOORS, EMER DOORS, CARGO DOORS, or ACCESS DOORS light on Left Overhead
EICAS ____ DOOR (or ____ DOORS if multiple of same type on same side, or multiple access doors, are open)
Nose, Wingtip, and Tail Turn Radii?
Wing sweeps largest arc, then tail, then nose
Where is the bulk cargo door?
Rear left, only on 767
What does an illuminated VALVE light indicate?
A disagreement with the commanded position
Minimum O2 pressure for dispatch?
1000psi on EICAS STATUS page
Location/Function of PASS OXY switch, and meaning of ON light?
Center Overhead Panel
Push to drop passenger O2 masks
ON light indicates system is operating and passenger masks have dropped
When/how does entry door power assist function?
Only when door is armed
Power assist is pneumatic
Which direction do overwing exit doors open?
Downward and inward
What triggers the inflation of the overwing exit slide?
Pulling the handle on the inside of the overwing exit (slide will not inflate if opened from the outside)
Where is the overwing escape strap located?
Only in the aft overwing exit door
What is the EICAS emergency door nomenclature?
752: FWD/AFT EMER DOOR = overwing exit, EMER DOOR = exit door
753: FWD/AFT WING DOOR = overwing exit, EMER DOOR = exit door
763: FWD/AFT EMER DOOR or EMER DOOR = overwing exit
How are the forward and aft cargo doors normally operated?
Electrically, with power from the Ground Handling Bus
Above which speed should the flight deck windows not be opened?
VREF 30 + 80
What does LOCK FAIL on FLT DK DOOR panel indicate?
Either the door lock has failed, or the Flight Deck Access System switch is OFF
What does AUTO UNLK light on FLT DK DOOR panel indicate?
The correct door code has been entered, and the door will open once the timer expires. To prevent door from opening, select DENY on the selector.
What type of EICAS message is triggered if the cargo doors are open?
757: EICAS advisory for all
767: EICAS caution for FWD CARGO DOOR, advisory for all others
What happens to the SLIDE light if aircraft is on battery power only?
The SLIDE light will not illuminate, even if the door is armed
What powers the forward dome lights?
Battery Bus
If the SEAT BELTS selector is in auto, when will the signs come on?
Either:
Landing gear not up and locked
Flap lever not up
Cabin alt above 10,000
Passenger O2 system activated
When do the passenger O2 masks deploy automatically deploy?
14,000 feet cabin altitude
