Auxiliary Building Ventialation(VA) Flashcards

1
Q

What is the purpose of the Auxiliary Building Ventilation System?

A
  1. Provide a suitable working environment for personnel and equipment. Air exhausted from contaminated and potentially contaminated areas is monitored for radiation and filtered as required prior to release
  2. During accident conditions, Auxiliary Building Ventilation aligns to assure that the ECCS pump rooms are maintained at a negative pressure and air exhausted form these rooms is filtered prior to being released
